HOW
TO BLEACH
It
is important to clean and wear your ppliances properly for maximum
aesthetic results and good oral hygiene. Here are some important
things to remember:
1.
Use cool water and mild dish soap or toothpaste to clean the appliance.
2. Scrub the appliances thoroughly with a toothbrush before placing
it in your mouth and after you take them out.
3. Place a drop of gel into each tooth depression. Place the appliances
in your mouth for 1-2 hours. It is OK to bleach more hours per
day as long as you are not having sensitivity. It is all right
to simply put the appliances in before bed and leave them there
all night. If you are experiencing sensitivity, you can cut back
on bleaching to every other night or day and do the fluoride treatments
several times per week. You need to avoid bleaching gum areas.
Use:
Ultradent Opalescence (10% carbomide peroxide) 6 times per week.
FLUORIDE prescription: 1 time per week for ½ hour.
4. After about 2 weeks there will be a significant shade change
and you can decrease the use of the appliances to one to two times
monthly to maintain the shade.
5.
A shade check is recommended after about 2 weeks of consistent
wear. Please call for an appointment.
6.
Do not smoke.
