Composites - Children

Dr. Anzelc placed a composite (white) filling in your child's tooth. Your child should avoid chewing on that side until the numbness goes away. He or she should eat a soft diet, such as ice cream, yogurt, or soup. Most people have some sensitivity for 6 -12 weeks. Give your child Children's Motrin or Ibuprofen if he/she is uncomfortable.

Please call if:

Your child's bite feels too high
If he/she cannot chew on the tooth
If post-operative sensitivity increases as the days go on
If pain awakens your child at night

Also, call if you have any questions or concerns.
